Small House Productions is a Media and Performance Arts group based in Amsterdam. Our focus is on significant collisions in an artistic event. We have an interdisciplinary approach towards what we create and our interests shift from theater, dance, performance, visual arts to video, photography or projection.
We believe that we live in a constantly changing society in which art, if it's faithful, must also reflect change. We find inspiration in events that are personal to us, we identify them in our current social reality and we create projects and artistic products that reflect on these events.
Our aim as a group is to offer the space and the opportunity for us and different people to create and develop personal initiatives that fit into the vision that we work out of. Thus, we offer for ourselves and the people around us the chance for development. And by development we mean the ability to bring out capabilities or possibilities; to cause, to grow or to expand and most importantly to generate new outcomes and evolve in the context that we are living in.
The permanent members of the group are Andreas Hannes and Elena Tudorache.
Andreas Hannes is originally from Greece. He has a Bachelor in Music Science & Art (specialized in percussion) but went on to work with media (photography and videos), as a freelance trainer, director and producer. Currently he is very close to the fields of performance arts & media by organizing and running international projects & residencies. He is passionate about motion captured on camera and no matter the art he works with, he is always driven by his musical background.
Elena Tudorache originally comes from Romania and is specialised in documentation methods (video and photography) in performance arts. She has been living in the Netherlands for the last 3 years working as an artistic producer for the media and performance arts project Wonderous Stories. She is close to field of visual arts and is mainly interested in interdisciplinary and experimental approaches to an artistic event, in combination with cultural and social aspects.

Small House Productions works on long term and short term projects.
We work with both individuals and groups.
We design, organize and lead trainings, workshops, events, as well as create products related to different media (audio-visual, photography, prints, installations) and performance arts, ranging from artistic residencies to live performances. We have also developed our own methodology of working with groups and documenting creative processes.
