We all met in a house called Olde Vechte. Each room of Olde Vechte offers a different atmosphere, according to which, different movement tasks were created as a trigger for choreographic interpretation. We lay out the blueprint of the house as a playground for our memories and for us in relation to the specific architecture in a different scale. Through captured improvisation in the smaller blueprint, the dancers instantly choreograph their personal interpretation of the movement tasks, as well as their personal memory of the rooms. Later on this memory is being adapted into the actual rooms, bringing the discrepancy of the memory of a space and the actual space with its real proportions and textures, through movement. We think back, we produce now, we reproduce later, we capture and keep a souvenir of Olde Vechte.
